Your Apple Developer Account subscription expires once a year, and what you do (or don't do) around that time can make or break your app's presence on the App Store. This guide covers everything you need to know about the renewal process in 2026 — including how we can renew it for you.
How Apple Developer Account Subscription Works
The Apple Developer Program costs $99/year (USD). The subscription auto-renews annually by default if payment is set up through Apple. When you purchase an account from us, auto-renewal is typically not configured — so manual renewal is required each year.
The subscription period starts from the date the account was created, not the calendar year. So if the account was created in March, it expires in March the following year.
What Happens When It Expires?
Missing the renewal deadline has immediate consequences:
Your apps are removed from the App Store. Users can no longer find or download them.
You still have access to App Store Connect and developer tools. You can renew during this window without losing app data.
Access to App Store Connect may be restricted. Recovery becomes more complex.
Apps are automatically re-listed on the App Store. No need to resubmit.
⚠️ Important: We accept accounts with expired subscriptions up to 1 week past the expiration date. Beyond that, recovery is uncertain. Don't wait.

Can I Renew It Myself?
Technically yes, but since accounts purchased from us don't have payment methods attached, you'd need to add a valid payment card to the Apple ID — which can trigger additional verification steps and risk flagging the account.
We handle this process safely without attaching your personal payment details to the account.
